An Introduction of Sorts

What better way to make an introduction than by sharing some chocolate? My husband and I demolished these chocolate chocolate chip cookies I made yesterday.

 Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 sticks butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs, beaten
1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 1/4 cups flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
3/4 cup each dark chocolate morsels and white chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Using an electric beater, beat together butter and both sugars. Add eggs and beat until creamy and fluffy. Add vanilla, milk, salt and baking soda. Gradually hand-stir flour and cocoa into butter mixture and mix until just combined. Hand-stirring will ensure the cookies are soft and puffy rather than flat and crystallized (unless you prefer them that way). Stir in chocolate chips until distributed evenly. Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets and bake 10-11 minutes. Cool on a baking rack.
